What Kind of Jobs Will One Get if One Took Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering?

I’m at crossroads, I really need to decide on my major…Which one’s better?

I’m Egyptian Engineer, graduated in 2005 and planning to study Postgraduate studies in Materials Science and Engineering in an American University and I’m worried about my chances to get a scholarship in this field, can any one help me about what to do, how to do, and how to find database for Grad Scholarships for American Universities ….

I am currently an undergraduate studying Mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan and am very interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Materials science and engineering.
I have good grades (3.6) and am starting to look at graduate schools.
What universities should be at the top of my list for graduate programs in materials science and engineering?

I would really appreciate it if someone helped me through this question..
A weight W is suspended from a steel cable with a cross sectional area of 36 mm2, a length of 81m and a Young’s modulus of 200,000 N/mm2.
If the elongation of the cable due to the weight is 13 mm, determine the value of W in Newtons.
Thank you

Are materials scientists and engineers in relatively high demand compared to say, electric or mechanical engineers?

pls tell me the chenical, mechanical, and thermal properties of a composite. its hard to understand in book so i need a brief explanation thnx:D

I have some questions regarding the testing of civil engineering materials such as concrete and asphalt in pavement and in beams, for example:
1.) Why would you test lab specimens?
2.) Why would you want to test specimens in the field?
3.) Why would you want to test core samples taken from the actual final product?

Hi, I am a Materials Science and Engineering PhD student in a prestigious university in US. But I really want to get into business world after Ph.D. I am kinda confused what to do? Can anyone give some suggestions, like what is the baby step to really get started this dream? What is the advantage of materials science and engineering major student to do that? What is the disadvantages? For an engineering background student, what is especially important and challenging for him to interview with a business examiner? Thanks, guys.

The suggested materials should be able to bend when a small sufficient force is applied to them thus it should not just bend when when gravity is acting on it.
