What Is the Difference Between Material Science and Materials Engineering?

From the context of the degrees offered by US Universities.

I am quite confused about these two and am interested in innovation rather than how materials are processed. Which one of the two can fit this request?

Based on the movie “back to the future” and “time machine” ,any person travelling will go to another time but still ends up on earth as usual and this makes no sense to me.As everyone knowes that the planets, solar system and galaxies are constantly moving all the time,so what are the chances that a time machine will disappear on 1963 and reappear in 2049 at the same spot and location?
I think that when a time machine disappears in one spot of the universe, that it will reappear in the same spot again.
If ever time travel is possible, then the navigator must wear a space suit because he will be far away from earth during the future or past.Remember that the planets are not always in their same position as well as the solar system.
Do you agree with my theory?

I’m Egyptian Engineer, graduated in 2005 and planning to study Postgraduate studies in Materials Science and Engineering in an American University and I’m worried about my chances to get a scholarship in this field, can any one help me about what to do, how to do, and how to find database for Grad Scholarships for American Universities ….

I am currently an undergraduate studying Mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan and am very interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Materials science and engineering.
I have good grades (3.6) and am starting to look at graduate schools.
What universities should be at the top of my list for graduate programs in materials science and engineering?

Hi, I am a Materials Science and Engineering PhD student in a prestigious university in US. But I really want to get into business world after Ph.D. I am kinda confused what to do? Can anyone give some suggestions, like what is the baby step to really get started this dream? What is the advantage of materials science and engineering major student to do that? What is the disadvantages? For an engineering background student, what is especially important and challenging for him to interview with a business examiner? Thanks, guys.

I’m a Junior in High School and I’m thinking about college. My dad wants me to do something with mechanical engineering, but electrical/electronics engineering sounds a little more interesting to me. Also, I am taking a computer programming class in school and I like it too and am very good at it. So I would like to know if there are any careers at there which include all these fields or somewhat.

I’m wondering if it would be possible to double major in materials science and civil engineering. I love structures, both molecular and on the bigger scale, my major now is materials science engineering but I’m really starting to like civil engineering, don’t know if this is a good idea but it’s something I’m considering, if my school lets me.

these are two different programs and they offer bachelor of science and bachelor of engineering. they sound similar but give different bachelor degrees. what are the actual differences?
also, what does undergraduate mean?
thanks a lot.
