Elements of Design and Principles of Design are two separate ideas. Elements: Line , Shape, color, value, Texture, Form, Space are physical concrete, you can see them. They are used to create Principles of Design. eg. Light Value against Dark Value creates Contrast. Repetition of shape creates Harmony or Unity.
